Event Details

AM ranch
AM Ranch is a family owned and operated ranch in Penn Valley, California. Michael and Ciara Shapiro share their passion in farming and ranching. Michael got his start over 10 years ago in farming on a biodynamic farm in North Carolina and his passion grew from there. Ciara is a 6th generation Nevada County native who was raised with animals and agriculture. Their main goal at AM Ranch is to create a sustainable and thriving environment for the land, livestock, and supporting community. They work hard to provide their customers with locally grown, superior quality meat and eggs.

Ciara and Michael believe in using their animals and land together to create a sustainable and thriving environment. They raise beef, pork, and eggs. All the beef is grass fed and grass finished on irrigated pasture at the ranch. They also have a comprehensive breeding program for their pigs and raise them from farrow to finish. All of the pigs are raised on pasture and supplemented with a non-gmo feed. They also have 200 laying chickens. The chickens are also raised on pasture and supplemented with a non-gmo feed. They implement a rotational grazing method with all of their animals allowing them to sustain their land and animals in optimal health.
